Sandy Springs Festival was a Sucess!

Being in the Sandy Springs Festival, Artist Market was a BIG success. Featuring the Atlanta City Limits Collage and Sandy Springs City Limits Collage, both pieces were well received and the artist Kim Wolfe of Absolutely Right Brain, sold out of these artworks for 10 pieces total.

"I couldn't do it without the support of my family and friends" says Kim Wolfe. "My mom and grandmother both drove up here to Georgia from Alabama to be with me on my first show. It meant the world to me to have them with me."

Kim Wolfe also took a few orders. 1 order was specifically for a black lab portriat. The piece is going to be titled "Balou" after the black lab's name.

Kathe Kingston of Noah's Art, shared a tent with Kim Wolfe and also did very well. Featuring unique and original one of a kind dragonflys, her wall display showcased each dragonfly nicely with the sun's beams through each one. Kathe is now working on broading her variety of stained glass works to include a mermaid, stained glass windows and individual one of a kind business card holders.

The only thing that did not go as planned was the action of someone taking pictures UNANNOUNCED of Kathe's dragonflys. Once they were confronted, they had the audacity to ask "I can't take a picture of your dragonfly?". Obviously they were told "NO". How rude. Doesn't everyone know not to take pictures of peoples' original artwork pieces, especially without asking? So this goes out to the blond female and dark headed male who acted dumb founded that they couldn't take pictures although they probably got a photo or 2 before they were confronted. Don't play dumb! Don't just walk up to someone's artwork and start taking pictures. Get a grip. You would want the same respect if it was your artwork on the wall.

And off from venting, stay tuned as Kimmie and Kathe plan their next art show! Thank you for supporting them!
