Successful Website Launch of Parkway Villages.net

It is with great pride that I announce the launch of a new website created by me, http://www.parkwayvillages.net/. Parkway Villages.net was designed and created to represent the new homes available in this community, Parkway Villages, in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Parkway Villages is a new community in College Park, georgia offering single family new homes starting from the $150's. The homes range from 3 - 5 bedrooms and there are currently 6 built floorplans to choose from. With inventory standing, these homes are ready for move-in! They have 3 models to choose from the sales center is open daily.

When designing a real estate website, there are some key factors to keep in mind. Photos are very important. Giving viewers easy access to the floorplans are important. Clearly displaying price and location is important. So with the given budget set for the client, I combined these elements together with the hopes of keeping the website simple with easy access to the floorplans and important information. Instead of showcasing the pictures in a photo gallery type style requiring flash design or other photo gallery viewer installation, I simply created headers for each page utilizing different photos of 1 exterior and 1 interior photo. For most of the pages, I used a 2 column design layout which allowed to showcase different photos on the left side while putting the content of each page on the right side. The features page does not take after this layout but the page would have been extremely long in a 2 column layout. And the best part about the photos is that I took all the photographs you see on the site.

So with this website, I, Kim Wolfe, am able to show my creative ability to put multiple items together. I also show my capabilities as a photographer to take professionally looking photos. Then last but not least, I show my ability to still keep the website simple and easy to navigate for any and all viewers.

Sandy Springs Festival was a Sucess!

Being in the Sandy Springs Festival, Artist Market was a BIG success. Featuring the Atlanta City Limits Collage and Sandy Springs City Limits Collage, both pieces were well received and the artist Kim Wolfe of Absolutely Right Brain, sold out of these artworks for 10 pieces total.

"I couldn't do it without the support of my family and friends" says Kim Wolfe. "My mom and grandmother both drove up here to Georgia from Alabama to be with me on my first show. It meant the world to me to have them with me."

Kim Wolfe also took a few orders. 1 order was specifically for a black lab portriat. The piece is going to be titled "Balou" after the black lab's name.

Kathe Kingston of Noah's Art, shared a tent with Kim Wolfe and also did very well. Featuring unique and original one of a kind dragonflys, her wall display showcased each dragonfly nicely with the sun's beams through each one. Kathe is now working on broading her variety of stained glass works to include a mermaid, stained glass windows and individual one of a kind business card holders.

The only thing that did not go as planned was the action of someone taking pictures UNANNOUNCED of Kathe's dragonflys. Once they were confronted, they had the audacity to ask "I can't take a picture of your dragonfly?". Obviously they were told "NO". How rude. Doesn't everyone know not to take pictures of peoples' original artwork pieces, especially without asking? So this goes out to the blond female and dark headed male who acted dumb founded that they couldn't take pictures although they probably got a photo or 2 before they were confronted. Don't play dumb! Don't just walk up to someone's artwork and start taking pictures. Get a grip. You would want the same respect if it was your artwork on the wall.

And off from venting, stay tuned as Kimmie and Kathe plan their next art show! Thank you for supporting them!

Kim Wolfe and Kathe Kingston are in the show!

Kim Wolfe of Absolutely Right Brain and Kathe Kingston of Noah's Art have been accepted into the artist market of the Sandy Springs Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and September 21, 2008. Kim Wolfe will be featuring her premier works of the Atlanta City Limits Collage and City Praying and Kathe Kingston will be featuring a various assortment of stained glass dragonflys. Both Kim and Kathe have been diligently preparing for what is their first show to ever be in.

As an artist, Kim Wolfe's works are heavily influenced by her graphic design major. Most of her current works are created using a macintosh computer using various programs she has been trained in. Each design or collage can consist of a few or many of photos with various images that she took with her own camera. Each photo is then merged together with various types of digital manipulation to form the overall creation or outcome. The ideas for Kim's pieces vary and are usually inspired from a moment or belief in her life.

As a service provider, Kim Wolfe offers graphic services specializing in designs for the web and print. Her target clients are usually small companies from 1 - 25 employees. Kim is dependable, detailed oriented and customer service oriented with an overal focus to satisfy her clients. With a diverse background, Kim can help with many details of marketing such as positioning and branding of a company's services and or products, printing services including but not limited to: business cards, stationary, postcards, mailers, and of course, all graphic design needs including website and web design and all designs for the printing needs.

Kathe Kingston of Noah's Art is a teacher by day and a stained glass creator by night. With her natural ability to figure things out, she has taught herself to do many things including stained glass works. Although dragonfly's are her primary focus for the show, Kathe can make various types of stained glass pieces including framed pieces, lamps, and various sun catchers. After the show, Kathe plans on producing her first mermaid piece in which she had an artist design a custom pattern for it. If the mermaid turns out anything like her dragonflys do, then the mermaid is going to very kool!

So Kim and Kathe teamed up to share a space in Sandy Springs Festival on Sept. 20 and 21st. Located in the heart of Sandy Springs, Ga, this festival is apparently an award winning festival. The festival hours are from 10 am - 7pm on Saturday and 11am - 5pm on Sunday. For music, entertainment and plenty of art in the month of September, you don't want to miss this festival.
